Tara Schaab, M.D.

“I believe in working together with each of my patients to help them understand their disease process so that we can develop a personalized treatment plan to ensure the best possible outcome for their goals.”

Join us in welcoming Dr. Tara Schaab, a fellowship-trained retina specialist, to the team at Minnesota Retina Associates. Dr. Schaab specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases including macular edema, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases. She also specializes in retinal imaging as well as in-office procedures, including intravitreal injections and retinal laser. Dr. Schaab just relocated to Minnesota from San Antonio, Texas where she was working as a member of the Retina Faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Schaab grew up in the Midwest where she earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago, and completed her medical school education at Indiana University School of Medicine. She then completed ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, and a fellowship in Diseases of the Retina at Northwestern University. Dr. Schaab is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

With a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, we know that our patients in Minnesota are going to enjoy working with her! Dr. Schaab will be caring for patients out of our Golden Valley Bloomington and Hutchinson locations.
